It boils water…
Yes, you can boil water, unlike other reviewers claim. Use the correct sized cans, and COVER the pot. And use a reasonable amount of water. Typically you would be boiling 8 – 12 oz of water. It does take time, remember that this product heat output is "slower" due to small flame size, and your pot is constantly losing heat, so a lid is important.I tested this just to prove a point. On my fireplace mantel, at ambient 75F, I put 20 oz of 70F water in a 3 qt stainless pot with a glass lid. I used a
Lightweight and portable
I wanted this for the ability to pack in my hiking backpack without adding a ton of weight or bulk. This fit the criteria perfectly. I had to read the directions because I almost folded it the wrong way when trying to set it up. However, it's easy to use and works perfectly with the this product cans. I would definitely use this for reheating food or heating up some water. I wouldn't try cooking raw meat though. This helps to retain the heat of the stereo but it's not going to be as hot as build

These are excellent at what they are designed for. Keep in mind, they are small and water takes a lot of energy to heat up. We used these to heat up water for instant coffee, hot cocoa, and hot water for doing dishes while camping. It's light and portable. We plan on using this when. We camp, thru hike and for emergencies. I like how I can get canned heat from , Walmart or pretty anywhere. I tested it out with a pan of room temp water and it only took a few minutes. I plan on getting a couple more.Read more
